Movie Recommendation 2020
FAVORITE MOVIES OF ALL TIME
Choose your own favorite romantic, comedy, horror, inspirational movies.

Recommending movies is a bit like recommending lovers – you have to know the person you’re recommending for to give them a good suggestion.
Films can also allow us to understand each other on a deeper level. When someone recommends a film, they often do so because they want you to understand an experience they had. In understanding that experience, you better understand something about them.
Most film reviewers pretend movies as if they are objective critics, but we do not experience film or anything . We experience it from our perspective. And wanting someone to understand your perspective is a totally valid reason to recommend a film. If film can further intimacy and understanding, great. I fully admit that some of the films I’ll write about will be because I want to expose people to new perspective.
We Recommend this movies
- The Pursuit of Happyness

The overall theme of this film is Poverty. I have chosen this theme as the movie portrays the struggles of being poor with no financial aiding and the extent the father went through to provide food, water and shelter for his son.
“The Pursuit of Happiness” is a biopic that tells of a man named Chris Gardner, a homeless salesman. After investing all his life savings in buying portable bone density scanners, which what was supposed to bring him riches, instead turns into his life support as many medical industries felt no need for such medical devices.
As financial burdens creep up on him in the process, it caused him to lose both his wife and home. Even after landing as an intern for a brokerage firm, the job does not offer him any pay. Refusing to give in into financial hardships, he tries to give a better life for him and his son by finding different types of methods to earn money.
The director for this movie is Gabriele Muccino, an Italian film director that became a successful American film maker. This movie is a biopic of Chris Gardner on his struggles of being a homeless single father.
- The Bucket List

If you have never heard of the term “bucket list”, it is a list of all the goals you want to achieve, dreams you want to fulfill, and life experiences you wish to experience before you die.
For all of the bluster of one of the characters, the movie’s overall message is heartwarming and affirming: A list filled with exotic adventures is fun, but the biggest task to check off before your time is up is staring life (or death) in the face and embracing its daily joys.
The Bucket List movie – Themes of Self Discovery, Appreciation and Friendship. The film traces the adventures of the two unlikely friends, who meet in a hospital cancer ward, each given six months to live. It is a solid study of friendship and love.
“The Bucket List” is directed and produced by Rob Reiner, written by Justin Zackham and the bucket list movie is a collection of goals, dreams and aspirations that you would like to accomplish within your lifetime. The basic meaning of a bucket list is to keep track of your goals and to take steps to achieving these goals in order to maximize the incredible experiences in your life.
- Yes Man

I highly recommend this movie. The basic lesson in the movie Yes Man is to choose to live life by saying YES to the opportunities that are presented to you regardless of your fears. Of course in Yes Man, Carrey’s character just goes overboard but what the movie shows is that when you take more chances, get out of your comfort zone, and throw yourself into new experiences despite any fears you may have, you get to live a happier, fuller life.
You also open yourself up to even more opportunities and experiences. Sometimes you’ll have bad experiences, but often out of those bad experiences you either learn something or it leads you to great experiences you otherwise never would’ve had.
When you learn to say YES to things you say no to but deep down inside want to say YES to, your life will start to take on a new path. As mentioned before, decisions are what shape our destiny. Every decision you make or don’t make will have some effect on where your life will lead.
- Breakthrough

This Lent, as you reflect on your own journey and how God is calling you to grow, entering into the stories of others by reading books or watching movies like Breakthrough can help you to identify layers that speak to you, resonating with your own journey and how God is also calling you to grow in this moment.
The new faith-based independent film “Breakthrough is an inspiring true story of faith, the love of a community, courage and the miraculous spirit of survival. Set in small-town USA, Wentzville, Missouri is a seemingly ordinary close-knit community; until the hand of fate deals one of its own a potentially tragic and life-changing card that will unite a family, motivate a community in prayer and inspire the nation.
The new film Breakthrough exists with the challenge of putting a miracle into words and performance.
BREAKTHROUGH is based on the inspirational true story of one mother’s unfaltering love in the face of impossible odds.
BREAKTHROUGH is an enthralling reminder that faith and love can create a mountain of hope, and sometimes even a miracle.
- A Walk To Remember

“A Walk to Remember” teaches us the values of love, forgiveness, and mercy. It enlightens the story of teens with uprightness and purpose, of teens that stand up for what is right.
A Walk to Remember is an antidote to Hollywood’s raging cynicism about Christian values. For teens, onscreen “coolness” and validation is almost always achieved by a disengagement from parental authority, moral values and/or spiritual faith. Jamie Sullivan achieves it while holding on to her faith, her father and her values. She never compromises. She never swerves. And in the process, she exerts great influence on everyone around her.
A Walk to Remember” is a love story so sweet, sincere and positive that it sneaks past the defenses built up in this age of irony. It tells the story of a romance between two 18-year-old
It tells the story of going against the mob, of not losing into peer pressure.
The main lesson of this film is this familiar passage of Scripture which plays an essential role in giving the message of the story:
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres. Love never fails (1 Corinthians 13:4-8a, NIV).
- Forest Gump

Forrest Gump isn’t about politics or conservative values. It’s about humanity, it’s about respect, tolerance and unconditional love.
Forrest Gump is a 1994 American comedy-drama film based on the 1986 novel of the same name by Winston Groom. The story is of Forrest Gump, a simple man who comes from Alabama and his journey through life meeting historical figures, influencing popular culture, and experiencing firsthand historic events of the late 20th century.
Forrest Gump tells the tale of a simple-minded man from the beginning of his youth to the middle of his adult life.
If there is one thing that rings true throughout “Forrest Gump,” it is that no matter where life may take you, home is always waiting for you.
Things We Learned From Forrest Gump. Be your authentic self. Say yes. Don’t allow other people to put you down. Go for you dreams, despite the naysayers. Talk to strangers.
Not only is it entertaining, but the life lessons and morals throughout the entire movie are ones that everyone needs to acknowledge and live by.
- Like Stars On Earth

Bollywood movie about an 8 year old boy who is a bit different from others. His imagination let him see the world full with miracles and wonders. How can you put kid in frames and your borders if there are no borders in Universe.
Movie to realise that each of us is unique and to let shine our best part we need to find a different approach. Movie that will make you to look different to your kids, to other people and yourself. It also gives an awareness to the viewer of what Ishaan had or what was his condition. The end part of a movie convey a message of an acceptance , patience and care.
The meaning of The film “Like stars on earth” Each child has their own talent, so we should try to discover their strength and weakness order to help them recognize their real ability. The young teacher in the film spent a lot of time to understand why Isshaan can’t learn well like his friend.
Like Stars on Earth is especially useful in social studies classes because it gives students an opportunity to meet a contemporary, middle-class Indian family Like Stars on Earth gives students the chance to understand that there are universals as well.
- Peaceful Warrior

When you think you have everything you need and want, when you think you are happy and successful and there is nothing else but you in the world, you will lose it all to realize how little you know about life. This movie will make you stop whatever you are doing, stop pretending and finally listen to yourself, not your thoughts, but your heart. It will make you start thinking what you want and how to do it without looking at what you can’t or what is wrong.
The lesson here is simple: nothing in your outer world will ever make you happy or fulfilled. Happiness can only come from the inside. When you truly come to this realization and stop deluding yourself, you can gain that sense of peace and satisfaction within.
I like the Peaceful Warrior and there are many meaningful messages scattered throughout the show. these are the quotes series that i like in the movie,
- “There is never nothing going on. There are no ordinary moments.”
- “The ones who are hardest to love are usually the ones who need it the most.”
- “Death isn’t sad. The sad thing is: most people don’t live at all.”
- “A warrior is not about perfection or victory or invulnerability. He’s about absolute vulnerability. That is the only true courage.”
